Why does my grey-import Canon only have English and Japanese?+

Grey-import and JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) units use regional firmware builds. The hardware supports more languages; the menu list is restricted by firmware region. Our tool unlocks the full list where compatible — no camera replacement needed.

How do I add Hebrew to my Canon camera menu?+

Do I need to send you my camera?+

No. The tool runs on your Windows or Mac computer via USB. Your camera stays with you throughout the process.

Which operating systems are supported?+

Will this void my warranty?+

Warranty terms depend on your region, retailer, and Canon policy. Any firmware-related change may affect warranty coverage. We cannot advise on Canon warranty outcomes — check your documentation or contact Canon for authoritative guidance.

Can I revert to English and Japanese only?+

In many cases, yes — but this is not guaranteed for every model or firmware. Contact us for model-specific guidance before proceeding.

Does this work on all Canon cameras?+

No. Only specific models and firmware versions are supported. Check our supported cameras page or contact us to verify yours before payment.

How long does the process take?+

Many sessions take under 15 minutes once compatibility is confirmed and your computer is set up. Actual time varies.

Is there a download available?+

Not yet. Phase 1 is contact-based. Reach out via the form or live chat and we will guide you personally after compatibility is confirmed.

What firmware version do I need?+

Firmware requirements vary by model. Include your current version when contacting us — find it in the camera menu under Setup or Version info.

Will future firmware updates remove languages?+

A firmware update may reset language settings on some models. We recommend contacting us before updating firmware after an unlock.

Can I use the camera in Arabic or RTL menu languages?+

Where supported by your model's regional language pack, RTL languages such as Arabic may appear after unlock. Available languages vary — contact us with your model and firmware to confirm.

How do I pay for the service?+

Language unlock is $35 per camera model (one-time fee). Payment instructions are sent after we confirm your model, firmware, and compatibility. Unlocking 5 or more models? Contact us for bulk discounts for shops, rental houses, and multi-camera owners.

What is your refund policy?+

Because this is a digital compatibility and guidance service, fees are generally non-refundable once instructions or access are delivered — except where required by applicable consumer law or where we have failed to provide the agreed service. What if the unlock does not work on my camera?+

Contact us with your model, firmware, region, and a description of the issue. If we determine your unit was not compatible, we will work with you in good faith. We do not guarantee success on every unit.
